Do I need to be home while you are cooking?

No. As your personal chef I am taking some of the pressure off of your shoulders and giving you back some extra time during the week. Typically most of my clients are at work, running errands, etc. Although it is completely up to you if you choose to be home on the dates we have scheduled. In the case you are home while I am cooking you will notice that I will have many different things going on, so minimal distractions would be appreciated. At our consultation we can discuss house entry, pets and any other arrangements that need to be made. 






Where do you do the grocery shopping?

I am happy to shop anywhere of your choice. Whether you have a favorite grocer or specialty store, we can decide what is best for you and/or your family. Also, if you choose to eat all organic, that can be arranged. Regardless, I will do my best to find the freshest, highest quality ingredients. 

How will I be paying for your service?


Payment for the service can be in the form of cash, personal check or Bill Pay (through any major banking institution), and is required in advance or day of the cooking date. There is an additional charge for the exact amount spent on groceries I purchase for your menu, which can be added on to the check that is due on the cook date, or paid by cash. Since it is typical for clients to be away while I am cooking, you can leave a check for me when I arrive on the scheduled dates.


There is no contract for my services, and can be terminated at any time. If you do enjoy the service and want to continue we can schedule and reserve many dates in advance. 

Do I need any special cooking equipment?


No. I will bring along with me any cooking utensils that I may need, along with pots and pans. The only items in your kitchen that I will be using are your oven, stove, fridge and freezer. I will also need a reasonable amount of counter space while I am cooking in your home.

I am also comfortable using your cookware if you prefer that. Some of the pots and pans that I use are teflon so if you prefer that I use your special equipment that can be arranged. 

What containers will be used to store the food?


This can be discussed at our consultation. Since a good amount of the meals I prepare for you will be taken from the fridge/freezer to the oven, glass containers are recommended. We can take an inventory of what containers you already have and purchase more if needed. 

What can I expect from you as my personal chef?


As your personal chef I will go above and beyond to meet all your needs. I will be designing a menu to fit all of your dislikes/likes and dietary restrictions. It is getting more and more important to know where your food is coming from and having the peace of mind knowing that they are only fresh, whole food ingredients in the food that you eat. I do not use any processed foods, ever. A relationship between client and personal chef is built on trust. I take great appreciation in you letting me into your home and being able to cook for you and/or your family. I will take any requests you have and do my best to get whatever that may be done.
